Gold, Hemp & The Fair Tax

As pretty much every American knows by now the federal deficit has become such a utter disaster that our country will be dealing with this ever expanding black hole for generations to come. Plain and simple this country is busted, broke and is in serious need of repair. Greed, budgeting err lack thereof, corruption, the globalist agenda and countless other injustices that have contributed to this crisis. It is about high time that we roll up our sleeves put aside our left/right political differences and get this train wreck back on track. We can no longer afford to sit idly by..real change needs to happen and it needs to happen fast. Here are a few thoughts on what we can do now to start righting the wrongs.

1. The Gold Standard: Once we moved away from a gold backed dollar to a worthless fiat currency, inflation and fiscal irresponsibility set in. Returning to a gold standard is really the only foolproof method of placing the government under fiscal discipline. You cannot keep printing worthless money if there is nothing backing it up.

2. Hemp: I believe this could single handedly turn around the economy as well as the entire nation and it is not because everyone can get legally baked. The hemp plant has so many uses from a textile standpoint: cloth, building materials, fuel etc. Lets legalize it, create some jobs and for God's sake lets start manufacturing quality products using this potentially abundant resource.

3. Fair Tax: Let's trash the federal income tax and replace it with a national sales tax (Fair Tax). What better way to stimulate the economy then by letting people keep and spend more of their own hard earned money. Let's do away with the endless tax laws and red tape. Government needs to keep their hands out of the piggy bank.

So I have stated just a few steps that deserve serious consideration by those that hold public office. As with anything, there are many questions and concerns that will need to be addressed and it certainly will not be easy. But the time is now to start standing up and steering this ship back on course.

  1. Government does not have a legitimate right to use coercion to take money from people.

The use of coercion to take money by government and force us to use its junk money is the root of our problems.

The use of coercion is morally wrong in both taking our money and forcing us to use its junk currency.

Bitcoin is going to solve both those problems. In the future, there will be no coercively funded governments.
