Buying Food or Paying Bills...Could This be the Next Great Debate Amongst Families?

Reports this week have become a little disheartening. Many grocery stores including Walmart have begun to start raising their food prices. A recent study shows a 5.8% increase in the average prices at Wal-Mart which represents the most significant increase since the the study began in January of 2009. Also the Bureau of Labor figures that food inflation is roughly at a 6.7% seasonally adjusted annual rate through the first four months of 2007, that is three times the core rate and more than three times last year's 2.1% increase. I'm certain that this has already effected multiple americans over the last few years.

Most families are struggling enough as it is with the cost of living, foreclosures, stagnant job market and a host of other conditions and the last thing they need to worry is skyrocketing food prices. The government and mainstream media keeps stating the the recession is coming to an end, the economical outlook is positive, blah blah blah. Most people know this is complete BS and are not seeing any recovery in sight, on the contrary things seem to be getting worse. I truly foresee more and more conversations around the dinner table contemplating on how ends are going to be met & how bills are going to get paid.
